In the Global Poker Index (GPI) India ranking, Nipun Java tops with 2,019.67 points. The Delhiite, who no longer plays poker in India and is based in the U.S, claimed two WSOP bracelets for India in the 2017 edition is one of most acclaimed international poker pros with $1,895,470 in total live earnings. His most recent cash arrived this month in Event #71: $1,000 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em Championship. Nipun “Javatinii” Java grabbed the top spot for $237,668 after defeating “jadedjared” in heads-up. This was his 2nd bracelet, having earlier won a bracelet in WSOP $1,000 Tag Team Event with Aditya Sushant. Raghav Bansal follows him with 1,809.73 LB points. Raghav is another big name in Indian poker scene with $718,745 in his total live earnings.
Earlier in April, Raghav grabbed headlines for finishing 2nd at PokerStars Championship High Roller in Macau for a colossal HK$2,610,000. Behind Raghav is Aditya Agarwal who has raced to 3rd position this month with 1,218.58 points. Aditya holds roughly 36 cashes in WSOP has done magnificently in the series.
Chasing these players in GPI are the other notables such as Aditya Sushant and Kunal Patni (1,112.54 pts). Chennai’s Aditya who was initially in 6th position in May has climbed up the ranking to 4th place.
