India’s run at the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Main Event officially came to an end after Nipun Java and Aditya Agarwal crashed out of the highlight event. Enthusiasts of poker will however, be happy that both competitors fared brilliantly in the event. While Agarwal busted 20 places shy of making the money, India’s 2-time WSOP bracelet winner went deep and eventually departed in 34th place banking $19,531 for his efforts.
Nipun Java was going strong in the Main Event and was involved in two major hands against Jean Gaspard. Java took a huge chunk of Gaspard’s stack in the second major hand. The Indian competitor opened to 12,000 and Gaspard 3-bet with 27,000. Java 4-bet to make it 68,000 and Gaspard called. On the flop Java went all in. Gaspard then opted to fold. Java stacked up rouglhy 450,000 after gathering the pot.
Just when it appeared that Java would be returning tomorrow for another deep run this summer, he hit the rails at 34th place. Java bagged $19,531 in prize money.
