The biggest Asian Poker Tournament series is set to kick-off this week as the Asian Poker Tour returns to Vietnam. 2018 marks the first time that APT is organizing their kick-off event outside the Philippines. The APT Kickoff Vietnam is scheduled to take place between 19th and 28th January 2018 and quite a few notable pros will be making their way to the nation to take part in Asia’s biggest poker festival.
The tournament series will be held at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh and the highlight event will be the VND 3,000,000,000 GTD Main Event which has a buy-in of VND 16,500,000. Besides the Main Event, there will be a total of 18 side events on offer.
The crime drama film Molly’s Game, based on the life of Molly Bloom, a woman who was convicted for running underground high stakes poker games, has been nominated for an Academy Award in the best adapted screenplay category.
