The action-packed long Mahashivratri weekend has commenced with the Deltin Poker Tournament’s (DPT) February edition INR 1.5 crores GTD. Beginning the live action was the INR 10K Kickoff event and claiming the title was notable pro Jasven Saigal, for an amount of INR 6,22,500. Saigal was an unstoppable force at the final table, ploughing his way to the top.
Housed at the Deltin Royale Poker room afloat Goa’s River Mandovi, the 10K Kickoff attracted 354 entries and the top 40 finishers made the money.
The event kicked off late, but the final crowd made up for it with pros and players from all over signing in.
Action was fast andVinod Megalmaniand Maria Kirloskar were early eliminations.
Saigal started to flex his muscles within 15 to 20 minutes of the final table and eliminated Chirag Soda and Venkat Reddy who went out at ninth and eighth place, respectively.
The board ran boosting Jasven’s stack.
Saigal proceeded to bust all the others until he was heads up against Bobbe Suri, after Siddarth Singhvi was knocked out at third place. Singhvi’s were cracked by Saigal’s
Heads up lasted barely 20 minutes, before the final hand was dealt.
The board had another seven with clinching the title for Saigal. Suri collected INR 3,99,480 for his 2nd finish.
