Followers of poker has witnessed a thrilling beginning to the Macau Poker Cup as 8 Indian competitors have already made impressive cashes. The latest of them being Akshay Nasa and Nathan Rao who both finished runner-up in the $500 Flip Out event and HK$3000 NLH event respectively.
$500 Flip Out:
The $500 Flipout event drew a strong field of 220 entries to generate a prize pool worth HK$96,030. Topping the field was Israel’s Ben Gur who earned HK$23,000 for his finish. India’s Akshay Nasa was in thick of the action and managed to reach heads-up but unfortunately couldn’t ship it and pocketed HK$15,046 for his second place finish. Two other Indians Neeraj Kumar and Nishant Sharma cashed out. Kumar placed 13th for HK$1,400 while Sharma 22nd for HK$1,000. Poker pro Celina Lin final tabled the event and eventually exited fourth for HK$8,000.
