India’s trailblazing run in poker tournaments overseas continues with Manoj Pentakota finishing 6th in the inaugural knockout event at the ACOP Platinum Series in Macau. The poker festival is set to conclude on July 2. Pentakota had previously shipped the Head Hunter Event at APT Macau, owing his victory solely to the practise he got playing poker.
The inaugural HK$2,500 Knockout event drew a field of 93 competitors generating a total prize pool to HK$156,472 with an added HK$46,500 in the bounty pool.
China`s Liang Yu overcame the opposition to claim the title for HK$41,572. Nishant Sharma and Manoj Pentakota represented the Indian contingent with the latter making it to the final table. The Indian pro was eyeing to go all the way on course to his second victory at Macau and at one point even claimed the chip lead just before the beginning of the final table. However, he was eliminated at sixth place for HK$9,400 (INR 77,500).

Prominent poker pro Kunal Patni has been on a hot streak of late. Just last week, Patni finished second place in the WPTDeepStacks Berlin Main Event for $115,368.
