A newcomer, Mateusz Krzyzewski claimed the 2017 Unibet UK Poker Tour Brighton Main Event for £14,090 after qualifying for the main event via an £21 satellite at Unibet Poker. Besides the winning the top prize, Krzyzewski won another €2,000 from a promotion, which was for the final online qualifier surviving the event.
The Polish winner prefers to enter events through satellites and is a currently a software developer by profession. To date, he has 6 recorded cashes including this one and his highest cash prior to this was $500 for a 20 th place in the Unibet Manchester Main Event back in December 2016.
Krzyzewski was not the sole online qualifier. The winner had 69 others for company, including some top poker pros such as Jen Mason, Manig Loeser, Jon Spinks, Jamie Burland, and some Unibet Poker ambassadors.
Heads-up found the Polish player line up versus Renata Jack, local pro with upwards of $50,000 in tournament cash and the former managed to clinch the title. Jack had to settle as a runner-up for far less with £9,260.
The £220 buy-in Brighton event attracted 261 hopefuls with the top 30 finishers min-cashing £370.

Prominent poker pro Kunal Patni has been on a hot streak of late. Just last week, Patni finished second place in the WPTDeepStacks Berlin Main Event for $115,368.
