Fourteen-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth has garnered quite the following among enthusiasts of poker in India. Back in August the American won the King of the Hill title, and is now set to defend it in Pennsylvania this weekend.
The event will see four players – Shawn Deeb, Olivier Busquet, Parker Talbot and the defending champion Hellmuth – in a battle for supremacy. They will be playing heads up NL Texas Hold’em, with two matches today leading into the final tomorrow for the title.
Each competitor has their own skin in the game with the event. They have each put forward $50,000 and it is a “winner take all” game. This Saturday, one of these poker players will emerge from the “best two of three” final with a prize of $200,000 and the prestigious “King of the Hill” championship belt.
