Here is some good news for casino-goers for poker. Recently, a law officer confirmed that the Goa law department has "vetted the draft rules" for offshore casinos. The rules for regulating casinos functions in the state have been approved in-principle by said law department and will also facilitate the appointment of a gaming commissioner soon.

The rules will have important provisions including the barring of locals entering casinos and prohibition for people under the age of 21 years to enter casinos too.

With regards to the new draft, an official stated, “Upon approval by the chief minister, who is also the home minister, we will place the file for approval of the cabinet. The chief minister may suggest some changes. Upon effecting those changes, the draft rules will be sent for cabinet approval."
