The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe festival was set to become one of the biggest poker festivals of then year before it was announced that it was going to be even bigger than was previously promised. The €10,300 buy-in no-limit hold’em Main Event was initially announced as having a €4 million GTD prize pool. That number has been amped to €5,000,000. It is also worth noting that the eventual victor is now guaranteed at least a €1,000,000 in earnings in addition to claiming the championship gold bracelet. This is good news for enthusiasts of poker who are planning to participate in the tournament.
The massive poker festival is slated to take place at the King’s Casino Rozvadov in the Czech Republic, between October 19 and November 10, 2017. The entire series will feature €21 million in guarantees spanning across 84 tournaments, with 11 gold bracelet events on the line, accounting for €18 million of the guaranteed prize pools.
This will be the first occasion where the poker series is held in the Czech Republic, having previously set up shop in Germany, France and England.
